Well, apparently last week's 1 pound weight loss was normal weight fluctuation as I'm virtually right back where I started, bringing my total weight loss to .2lb which is, in reality, nothing.
However, I know that my body is getting stronger, and I know that muscle weighs more than fat, and I know that all this work isn't for nothing.... but it still feels like it.
It's a lot harder to keep torturing myself with The Shred when I'm not seeing the results I want to be seeing. But I will keep at it. And hope for better next week.
i sorta ran into trouble

did you measure yourself? lots of people see better results with the tape than with the scale.
ReplyDeleteYah, I feel your pain. I spent two months earlier this year quite commited to the "Body for Life" diet. My husband lost a nice amount of weight. I lost pretty much nothing. I started off at 148.8 and there was one week where I weighed in at 144.?, but then the next week it was above 145 again and eventually I gave up. Losing a net of 2 pounds was not really worth it to me.
ReplyDeleteI haven't weighed myself since I started doing Shred, as I don't wish to be disappointed like I was at my last attempt at weight loss.
That is so frustrating isn't it Catherine?
ReplyDeleteI sometimes think it's my body telling me that this is it's comfort zone and I need to just be happy with where things are at.
If it's going to take a crazy exercise and diet regime to lose the weight, is that also what it's going to take to keep it off? Because I may have what it takes to do this for the short term - but long term? It wouldn't be worth it for me - not for 7 pounds.
